The Boost Juice Story
Back in 2000,a woman with no business experience - but unlimited passion and family support-opened her first juice bar in Adelaide. The idea was brilliantly simple: make healthy living both tasty and fun. That woman was Australian adventurer and entrepreneur Janine Allis. And the bar was Boost Juice-now one of our most popular and loved juice and smoothie brands,with 500 stores in 13 countries...and counting.

Boost from the beginning.
Today,the world can't get enough of Boost Juice.The brand's winning combination of fresh fruit,blended and squeezed into delicious smoothies and juices, has been a remarkable success story.But there's no elevator to success.You have to take the stairs.On a trip to the United States back in 1999, something caught Janine's attention.Everyone was into healthy smoothies and fresh juices-while in Australia,the fast food market was uninspiring and unhealthy.Janine had just had her third son and, like many young mothers,wanted more flexibility to run her own race...

So once back home in Melbourne,Janine and husband Jeff developed a retail concept different to anything the world had seen. Based on Janine's 'love life' philosophy,Boost Juice would offer a unique customer experience around happy,healthy living.
Operating from her kitchen table in Melbourne,Janine consulted nutritionists and naturopaths to create a menu free from preservatives and artificial colours and flavourings.
Just one problem:the banks wouldn't touch a business that just sold liquid.But as they say,when life hands you lemons,make lemonade.Or juices and smoothies,as the case may be.
發展軌跡「成功是九十九分血汗加百分之一的靈感而來。」為了發展理想中的果昔，Janine當時沒日沒夜的工作，然而、前三年的獲利情況令人失望。歷經一段艱困期後，皇天不負苦心人，位於威廉國王街（King William St.）的果昔店大獲好評，Janine夫妻倆打鐵趁熱，順著氣勢持續展店，過程中還曾經發生過製作果昔機器罷工的窘境，幸好團隊及時採取應變措施，以其它果汁機取代，才順利完成銷售任務。這件事也讓Janine體認到，若要深刻學習、必須深涉其中，也因此，當夫妻倆與西田集團（Westfield）旗下購物中心簽下28份租約後，背負500萬美元債務的壓力接踵而來，幸好夫妻倆堅定的意志及事業夥伴鼎力協助下，18個月內、28間分店皆順利開張，而展店及獲利情況也如同預期般達成。短短三年間，Boost Juice業績蒸蒸日上，Janine甚至在收購競爭對手「Viva Juice」品牌後，重整授權加盟店經營，當時Boost Juice平均一周展店一家，2004年9月更是輝煌時期，每天就有一家新店開幕，令人難以置信。
Growing StrongThey say success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.And who's going to argue with that?Little did Janine know that her plan to not work a 40-hour week would actually mean working a 100-hour week,with no money coming in for a good three years.
But hard work is often rewarded,and the success of the first King William St store allowed Janine and Jeff to open three new sites–including two in one day.However, making smoothies turned out to be anything but smooth–as the shiny new juicers refused to work.
Faced with juice bars that couldn't sell juice,the local teams had to make a mercy dash to Myer and buy domestic juicers.Both broke after a single day,but the job was done,and new equipment was on its way. Hurdles are there to be hurdled.
Sometimes,the best way to learn is to jump in at the deep end.And that's what happened next.Janine and Jeff signed for 28 leases at Westfield Shopping Centres.It meant a personal liability of over $5 million and a deadline to open every store in just 18 months.Thanks to sheer determination and amazing franchise partners,it happened on time and on budget.
Just three years later,Janine purchased rival chain Viva Juice and sold the rebranded stores to franchise partners.The figures were now incredible.Boost Juice was averaging one store opening a week; and during September 2004,it was opening almost one new store every single day.

Not surprisingly,Boost Juice was voted one of the most admired franchises in Australia.Janine was named Telstra Business Woman of the Year and,a year later in 2005,Boost Juice received the prestigious American Express Franchisor of the Year award.
The accolades have continued to roll in.In December 2015,Boost Juice won three awards with the Franchise Council of Australia,and Janine was inducted into the Hall of Fame.The brand has also picked up awards for Australia's Established Franchisor of the Year, Excellence in International Franchising and Regional Franchise Winner NT/QLD.
